BY JILL BIRCH, VOLUNTEER EXTRAORDINAIRE
Last week, I went to the Prayer Gathering at Grace. I was struck by what I felt and saw, so I wanted to share it with you.
Two baskets were raised, blessed, and passed forward.
The people were grabbing handfuls and in their bounty, sharing side to side, passing to others.
I stood in the back.
Would there be enough to reach me?
Could I receive?
Would I have plenty to share with others behind me?†
At last, one for me and some to share.
One dear blessing to feed my soul.
A prayer card.
A believerís heart cry entrusted to the body of Christ.
One of thousands from our precious believers, seekers, wounded, hopeful, pleading, reaching for Godís promise, love, healing, and offering their all.
One heart prayeróa gift for me to cherish, bless, proclaim His name over.
Were the first loaves and fish as sweet?
If you're not familiar with the Prayer Gatherings, they are held the first Wednesday of each month. Each Prayer Gathering begins with worship followed by a time of corporate prayer, individual prayer and/or intercessory prayer. We invite you to join us for the next one on Wednesday, September 7.
