Welcome Amanda Congrove! You may recognize her from weekend worship or from being around Grace in multiple capacities. Now we are excited to introduce her as the new Director of Women's Ministries – Real Moms.

Let’s get to know our new staff member a bit….

She and her husband, Todd, met at Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. He was graduating as she was finishing her freshman year. But they stayed in touch, and like they say, the rest is history. They have three daughters, Savannah (17), Lila (13) and Tori (8).

So you’re wondering, “How did they find Grace all the way from Nebraska?” Todd was transferred here in 2004. Soon after moving, they attended Grace based on a recommendation and they never made it to any other church. They came once and never turned back.

Amanda has spent most of her adult career life as COO of Congrove Enterprises. She has specialized as the family physician (most know for emergency medicine), event coordinator, caterer, space organizer and interior designer, mental health counselor, finacial director and president of household laundry and cleaning. Additionally, she has been teaching preschool and kindergarten music for the last 10 years.

Amanda’s hobbies include a strong love of singing, reading (share your book recommendations for her in the comments below), gardening and cooking. If you’ve met Amanda, you know that she loves to laugh, meet people and be helpful…which is why she is PERFECT for her new role. She also doesn't like to be told that she can't do something. Once she puts her mind to something, you can bet it will be accomplished!

Amanda says that she wants to “be able to expand the Real Moms ministry to all campuses in some form. I also want to connect even more mothers to God and the great plans he has for them!”

Have a question for Amanda or just want to wish her luck in her new role? Leave her a comment in the comments section below!

Will real moms finally be avavilbe at times when working moms can attend? It seems to always be during the morning on weekdays, when a lot of real working moms work and cannot attend. We know there is women's edition, but some moms would like to be grouped with other moms.
