Center for Church Leadership

What is CCL?

The Center for Church Leadership is Grace's commitment to leadership development as we launch leaders into the mission of God. Comprised of both a Volunteer Leadership Pathway and a Vocational Leadership Pathway, those committed to leadership development within the church are identified, equipped and developed through classes and experiences, engagement in leadership roles within the church, as well as participation in internships and residencies created specifically for the sake of multiplying the church.

CCL Internships

The Summer Internship Program is a 40-hour paid program designed to give people who are interested the opportunity to explore a call to vocational ministry. It’s also an entry point for Grace’s Center for Church Leadership’s Vocational Leadership Pathway. Summer interns are paid and housing is provided if needed. Interns also attend a short-term trip to Toronto, Canada. As part of the program, we focus on:

  • Intern Development. Throughout the program, interns spend 15 hours per week in classes, serving others and observing ministry experiences as they grow deeper in their personal calling, spiritual formation and understanding of how they can be more fully-launched into the Mission of God.

  • Meaningful Ministry Work. Interns will work 25 hours per week as part of the team in their ministry area to work on the relevant needs of Grace.

  • Intern Capstone Project. Projects vary by ministry with the end result being portfolio-quality work for the intern and essential ministry work for Grace.

Interns can serve in any ministry area at any campus (including, but not limited to: Student Ministries, Young Adults, Grace Kids, Accounting, Outreach and Care, Adult Ministries, and Communications, just to name a few). Summer Internships are available at all campuses. Contact scottq@gracechurch.us regarding summer internships. Have questions? View the Summer Internship FAQ page. Summer Internship applications are closed. Applications for 2018 Summer Internships will open Thanksgiving Weekend 2017.

The Ministry Internship Program is either a 25-hour or 40-hour paid (by fundraising) program designed to raise up interested individuals into a calling in vocational ministry. It’s the first step of Grace’s Center for Church Leadership’s Vocational Leadership Pathway. Interns are paid and housing is provided if needed. Funding for Ministry Interns is received from fundraising the total program cost which includes: program materials, wages, Short-Term Trips and any additional costs.  Grace Church will provide training, support and coaching for all fundraising needs. Fundraising training will occur in April 2016 in the form of a required five day training located at the 146th Street campus. Full-Time Ministry Interns are eligible for full-medical benefits. Interns also attend short-term trips to Toronto, Canada and New York City. As part of the program, we focus on:

  • Intern Development. Throughout the program, interns spend 15 hours per week in classes, serving others, and observing ministry experiences as they grow deeper in their personal calling, spiritual formation and understanding of how they can be more fully-launched into the Mission of God.

  • Meaningful Ministry Work. Interns will work 10 hours (Part-Time) or 25 hours (Full-Time) per week as part of the team in their ministry area to work on the relevant needs of Grace.
