Nearly 60% of students leave the church after high school. This is why the high school years are vital in training young people to be disciples of Jesus. Merge is focused on equipping high school students to be disciples, so they can become key members of the church through the college years and beyond. We do this through fervent Wednesday Night worship experiences, Christ-centered small groups, transformational retreats and life-changing short-term trips.
Weekend Small Groups
Small groups are a perfect place for students to form friendships with other students, build relationships with adult leaders and grow closer to God. Groups are encouraged to establish accountability with each other, get involved in ministry, serve the local community and participate in service projects. Freshmen and sophomores meet onsite during regular service hours. Juniors and seniors meet off-site on Sundays at 3:30 p.m. We do ask that you sign up to commit to a specific small group for the sake of consistency in relationships.Small Group Signup
7:00 p.m. in Central Auditorium
Wednesday nights are about getting together to worship God in a big way, learning more about the Bible, connecting with other high school students and playing a few games. If you're not sure what you think about God or you already call Jesus your Savior, but want to go deeper, this is the place for you! This is a great place to get connected, so feel free to invite your friends too. Registration is not required for Wednesday nights, just come as you are.
Parents' Forum - April 22 at 7:00 p.m.
Every few months, we host a Parents' Forum at Grace for parents of middle and high school students. Tim Mauriello will be speaking about recent social media, inappropriate texting and technology trends and how it impacts our children and families. The next Parents' Forum is Wednesday, April 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the 146th Street campus. Registration is not required for this event. We do provide childcare for the Parents' Forum, please register in advance.Parents' Forum Childcare Signup
Grad Weekend - May 30/31
We invite all graduates to participate, regardless of their involvement here at Grace. This post-high school transition is an important stage in your graduate's life and for your family. We want to celebrate it with you! Your family can participate by sending in two photos either digitally or hard copy (one baby photo and one senior photo) of your graduate and by participating in the one of the weekend services. Submit your digital photos (jpg or png only, 800x600 or larger) to email@example.com or mail the hard copies (4x6 or larger) to Attn: Michelle Hogge. Please include the graduates full name, campus and service our attending on Grad Weekend with your submission. No matter which campus you attend, we will begin the service by inviting all graduates and their families to the stage. The Merge and Access staff will lead the parents and graduates through some "vows of transition." These are simple statements noting this transitional stage in your family. After Grad Weekend, your student will be considered part of the Access community. We look forward to spending Grad Weekend with you and your family!
Merge retreats take place in November and February each year. They provide time to slow down and listen to what the Lord has to share with you. During each retreat, you will also have the opportunity to partake in fun activities, personal quiet time, group discussion and energizing worship! Details and registration coming soon.
One way we launch our students into God’s kingdom work is through short-term trips. Each summer, Merge students have the opportunity to be a part of one of these many impactful mission experiences. Students can choose from a variety of service projects in dozens of different locations such as Indianapolis, Mississippi, Ukraine, Haiti, Kenya and more. To learn more and sign up, visit our Short-term Trips page.
We are always looking for new people to join the team! If you would like to volunteer in Merge, see a list of opportunities and signup.
