Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Daves of our lives...
Did you know Grace Church has seven Daves/Davids on our staff team? That’s one for each Dave of the week! In this 7-day blog series, we’re highlighting each Dave/David, and sharing some of the things that make them unique.
Today I’m interviewing David Fox, who is the director of ministry events on the facilities team. Back in the summer of 2005, I went with him (along with a group of other Grace people) to Kings Island and we rode several roller coasters together. It was a pretty up and down experience for me.

CH: What is your name and how long have you worked at Grace?
DF: David Fox. A year and a half.
CH: Do you prefer to go by Dave or David? Why?
DF: David, because it was "King David" not "King Dave".
CH: Which day of the week do you most identify with and why?
DF: Thursday, It's not Friday yet, but there's potential...It'll get there one day.
CH: Agree to disagree. You are so cool. You’re totally Fridave.
DF: Thanks, I guess…
CH: Don’t mention it. I’m curious, David: why do you love serving at Grace?
DF: I love that we are a church of action. We are not an apathetic organization.
CH: What is your Enneagram number/profile? Explain a little bit about your personality based on your Enneagram profile.
DF: I am a 4 with a 5 wing. Which means I operate through my heart, but sometimes can't get past my head. It's like I really feel like I know something!
CH: What is the most random photo saved on your phone?
DF: My wife wrote a nice bible verse on our mirror. I drew a beard to see if I would look tough and rugged... Answer: yes.

CH: Who is the last person you exchanged text messages with? What was the conversation about?
DF: I was coordinating rides to go to a cheese party. I hope that is Gouda enough. I chose my answers Caerphilly.
CH: What are some of your favorite podcasts right now?
DF: I am a podcast fiend! I like Ask Science Mike, The N.T. Wright Podcast, The Liturgists, I always have some video game podcasts, and enjoy the Beeson Divinity Podcast series on Bonhoeffer.
CH: What’s in your Netflix queue right now?
DF: Parks and Rec and Chef's Table are the shows I have on while I am doing something else. The next ones I want to sit and watch are Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and The Big Short.
Thanks to the one and ONLY David Fox for being one of the best Daves of Our Lives at Grace Church. If you see him around, tell him that although he may be cheesy, you think he’s grate.

Great series, Curtis! I appreciate all of the David's and Dave's in our church but FRIDAVE is my favorite. I guess he should be FRIDAVID, right? I'm grateful to have a son-in-law like David!
