Purpose of the Job

The Grace Care Center exists to provide a range of services to help the poor and marginalized meet basic physical, emotional, financial, and spiritual needs in ways that bring healing and hope to their lives. The Care Center includes Vehicle Services, Choice Food Pantry, English Classes, and Referral Services. The Associate Director of Choice Food Pantry will oversee tactical execution of projects related to the Choice Food Pantry by focusing on providing opportunities for the people of Grace to engage in the mission of God.

Responsibilities

Care Center Operations

  • Manage operating procedures for the Choice Food Pantry
  • Oversee the management and development of volunteers and leaders to serve the Choice Food Pantry
  • Recruit, train, shepherd, and schedule volunteers
  • Manage online tools for documentation of programs and volunteer management
  • Help provide support for yearly events for the Care Center
  • Manage food procurement processes and volunteer shifts

Administration

  • Implement facilitation details including, but not limited to:
  • Room reservations, event arrangements, and space usage
  • Budget tracking, expense management, and reporting
  • Communication process between staff, volunteers, and participants
  • Scheduling & calendar
  • Data capture and recording

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated passion for the marginalized and a desire to see people through God’s eyes
  • Able to regularly stand, stoop, reach, and walk throughout an 8+ hour shift
  • Able to lift, pull, or push up to 75 lbs. throughout an 8+ hour shift
  • Either forklift certified or being willing to become certified
  • Able to drive 26ft box truck for pick-up and deliveries

    Purpose of the Job

    The Director of High School (9th-12th grade) is responsible for the leadership, training, and shepherding of assistant directors, coaches, small group leaders, worship volunteers, and greeters for high school. This role will also partner in overall ministry programming and provide support to volunteers, families, and students in this age group.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    Recruit, Lead, and Shepherd Volunteer Leaders

    • Recruit, develop, shepherd, and support volunteer leaders, especially assistant directors
    • Design leadership development opportunities for volunteer leaders
    • Meet regularly with volunteer leaders for encouragement and prayer
    • Offer times of connection and celebration with/for volunteer leaders
    • Plan, oversee, and encourage creative small group activities
    • Assist coaches and assistant directors in shepherding their teams, as needed
    • Provide input and ideas to curriculum team related to effective small group guides

    Partner in Overall Ministry Programming

    • Create and cast vision for high school within the overall purpose and vision of Grace Church
    • Ensure alignment with Grace Church’s Student Ministries purpose statement
    • Participate in developing and coordinating weekend programming with special attention to the flow between large group and small group experiences
    • Develop and lead a first impressions team for every high school service and event
    • Assist in the design and implementation of retreats, mission trips, and events that support the purpose of high school ministry and facilitate communications and promotional support
    • Liaison with middle school ministry staff related to curriculum continuity, unique times of connection, and transitioning eight graders into high school
    • Partner in the execution of all middle school ministry services

    Supporting Families and Students

    • Champion issues directly affecting students
    • Respond to conflict and provide counsel when needed
    • Create and encourage opportunities for growth
    • Offer tools and resources

    Administration

    • Track and update students and volunteers in the database
    • Process volunteer applications, conduct background checks, and update records
    • Track registrations and payments for events and trips
    • Provide program information and resources to volunteers
    • Attend staff meetings
    • Attend ministry gatherings when assigned
    • Send out mailings, emails, social media updates
    • Receive calls for general information for high school
    • Follow up with new students

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Ministry, or related area preferred
    • 2-5 years of progressively responsible education, student development, or ministry experience
    • Work schedule includes Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening
    • Proven experience in the following areas of skill:
      • Solid interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
      • Ability to communicate love and truth to students
      • Ability to establish healthy, balanced, and intentional programming with a team of adults and students
      • Ability to lead and shepherd groups and teams
      • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
      • Computer literacy and detail orientation
      • Exhibited knowledge of emotional, cognitive, and spiritual challenges specific to students

    Purpose of the Job

    The Grace Thrift Store was created to help financially support the Grace Care Center. All proceeds help fund the operations of the Grace Care Center, which supplies food for up to 800 families in our community on a weekly basis as well as other essential life skills. This role is designed to help supervise and maintain the Thrift Store during open business hours.

    Responsibilities

    • Support a welcoming environment for our volunteers to serve and for our customers to shop
    • Oversee the point of sale process and cash register
    • Assist with pricing and restocking of merchandise
    • Provide outstanding customer service
    • Help to keep the stockroom organized and tidy
    • Assist with order fulfillment including preparing orders for pick-up and direct UPS shipment
    • Maintain a clean store

    Requirements

    • Must be 18+ with a work permit
    • Must be able to lift 30lbs
    • Retail experience preferred, but not required
    • Must be flexible to work morning, afternoon or evening shifts

    Purpose of the Job

    Grace Kids Event Childcare is the childcare program that takes place during evening ministry events throughout the year. This role is designed to provide a safe, loving and engaging environment for children in our Event childcare programs, as well as assist Grace Church in loving children to Jesus and in demonstrating Grace's core values to these children and their families.

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Provide quality and dependable care for children such as diaper changes, encouraging safe play, secure check-in and out procedure, etc.
    • Follow safe and reasonable childcare practices and discipline.
    • Contact Childcare Coordinator if unable to provide care.
    • Return the room to the way it originally was by picking up toys, vacuuming and cleaning messes as needed.
    • Inventory needed supplies and let Childcare Coordinator know when supplies are low (diapers, snacks, etc.)
    • Maintain nursery cleanliness by wiping down all used toys with disinfectant wipes after every use. Sanitizing all toys, mats, etc. two times a year using a bleach bath solution.
    • Discuss with Childcare Coordinator any concerns about children when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Ability to work evening shifts
    • Must be 16+ with a work permit
    • Childcare staff may bring children with them up to 5th grade
    • CPR not required, but beneficial

    • Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required.

    • Conduct parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress, needs and interests as scheduled.
    • Arrive 30 minutes before school and stay 30 minutes after school
    • Assist in providing a clean, safe classroom environment throughout the school day.
    • Collaborate with children's families to ensure a smooth transition from home to preschool setting
    • Collaborate with Grace Fishers Preschool staff as necessary for lesson planning and sharing resources

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Ministry Preferred
    • 2-5 years of preschool/early education, childhood development or ministry experience
    • CPR certified (Grace Fishers Preschool will provide)
    • Proven experience in the following areas of skill:
