A NOTE FROM PASTOR BARRY

GRACE CHURCH FAMILY,

I will never forget the day our church was born. I was in third grade. I remember watching with amazement as family after family arrived on that first Sunday to worship together sitting on plastic seats in a big, empty warehouse.

Nobody felt particularly qualified for the task at hand, but that first generation of leaders at Grace all shared the same commitment: to jump in wherever the Holy Spirit was moving. Little did any of us know back then the spectacular journey of hope and healing God was about to launch in us. Like the rings of a tree tell the story of what came before, we can see with our own eyes the life change and transformation God has made possible over the last 34 years.

Which is why today, as a new generation is leading this church family into our next chapter, we are launching the Reimagine Initiative. It is an opportunity for us to build on the foundation that has already been laid. Not just for our sake, but for the sake of the people God has placed on our hearts who are not currently walking with Jesus. Our “Ones.” It may seem like a daunting call, and in this crazy world it can still feel like we’re not qualified for the task at hand, but I know one thing for sure about Grace: we’ve never lost the commitment we’ve had since that first Sunday in the warehouse. We will jump in wherever the Holy Spirit is moving and join God in his mission to heal this broken world! Will you join us?

I love you all. In Christ,

Barry Rodriguez

Lead Pastor

WHAT IS REIMAGINE?

A Legacy of Faith | A Future of Impact

In 1991, Grace Church began as a small gathering of people responding to God’s call to bring hope and healing to their community. Over the past 34 years, that small group has grown into a thriving church family, impacting countless lives in central Indiana and beyond. From welcoming families and launching vibrant ministries to serving families in need through our Care Center almost 300,000 times, we’ve witnessed incredible stories of transformation.

Like the rings of a tree tell the story of its growth, our church’s journey reflects a legacy of faith, generosity, and obedience to God’s leading.

Today, we are a church of more than 2,000 people, committed to being a place where everyone—regardless of their story or circumstances—can encounter the love of Jesus.

But with all of the life transformation and ministry we’ve experienced as a church, we have a substantial hurdle that keeps us from becoming all we can be. Our building, a gift from the sacrifices of past generations, is in need of some significant work. Worn-out spaces, accessibility barriers, and outdated infrastructure hinder our ability to serve our congregation and welcome the community.

OUR PRIMARY NEEDS INCLUDE...

Modernize Infrastructure

We need to repair the roof, update HVAC systems, and improve parking areas to ensure our facility remains welcoming and efficient.

Refresh Kids Ministry Spaces

We want to upgrade hallways with new carpet, improve security with updated entrances, and create a more inviting environment for families.

Create Dedicated Spaces

We want to build a permanent warehouse for our Care Center and a new multi-purpose room for events, gatherings, and ministry growth.

Enhance Accessibility

We want to redesign our main entrance to make it easier to navigate, add a playground near the café, and improve connections between spaces.

At Grace, we’re embarking on Reimagine, a two-year initiative inviting everyone who calls Grace home to join in two meaningful commitments.

Two commitments
over two years

By embracing both relational and financial commitments as one church family, we have the opportunity to make a lasting impact—transforming lives in our community today and for generations to come. Together, let’s Reimagine what’s possible when we follow God’s lead, just as we have faithfully done since 1991.
