Ken grew up in Nairobi, Kenya and developed a passion for church planting under Pastor Oscar Muriu’s leadership. After years of ministry in Kenya, he and his wife, Wacuka, accepted the call to lead the church planting effort in Sydney, Australia with Nairobi Chapel and Grace Church. They moved to Indiana with their two children, Nate and Mukeni, to be part of Grace Church for a year before moving to Sydney to join the Baptist Association of New South Wales. Ken serves with the Baptist Association as part of the Mission Team. Their vision is to see 1,000 healthy churches planted in one generation throughout the region. Ken's passion is seeing new Kingdom initiatives through church planting and church revitalization. He works with pastors and leaders from across different cultures to see new churches planted, from traditional churches in neighborhoods to simple churches meeting in cafes and people's homes. Ken is also Senior Pastor at Earlwood Baptist Church, while Wacuka serves as a Chaplain in Elder Care.
