Details for School Day Attendees
We are extremely excited to host all of you this Friday morning! It’s going to be a very fun day. There are almost 1,000 of you coming to see this show… over 300 from five different public & private schools and almost 700 homeschool kids and parents will be attending. Below you will find a few details to make note of to help make the morning run as smoothly as possible.
RECOMMENDED ARRIVAL TIME: 9:30 A.M.
We recommend all students use the restroom either right before arriving at Grace or after arriving to avoid needing to leave the auditorium during Act 1.
Pre-show information and a few words from our Director will begin promptly at 9:55 A.M. so we ask that everyone please be in their seats by then.
The show will begin PROMPTLY at 10:00 A.M.
You will have a Grace volunteer who will serve as the Host for your group the entire morning. He/she will be nearby should you have any questions or other needs during the show.
PARKING & ENTRY Building Map
See attached Map for parking information.
Southeast and Southwest parking lots are designated for Homeschool groups.
School Buses should park in the first lot on the left after entering the property from 146th Street.
All traffic in the Grace Parking lot moves in a counterclockwise direction around the building so you will need to drive ALL THE WAY AROUND the building to get to the Southwest parking area.
There will be parking lot attendants to help direct you if you have questions.
All groups should enter through the South Entrance (Door #1) facing the “front lawn” & 146th Street.
Overflow & Handicap parking is available in the Northeast lot (near Door #12) if necessary.
SEATING
You will get an email on Wednesday with your seat assignments so that you can go directly to your seats when you arrive.
For groups arriving on buses your host will meet you in the lobby to show you to your seats. For all others arriving by car, your host will be posted in the auditorium to help direct you to the seats designated for your group.
If you are paying for tickets by check or ordered additional seats you still need to pay for, please stop at the INFORMATION DESK in the center of the lobby before the show begins.
INTERMISSION
There will be a 15-minute intermission. Lunch will be AFTER the show this year, not during intermission.
LUNCHES & DISMISSAL
School groups on buses that are NOT staying for lunch will be dismissed first to help them get back to schools on time. Characters from the show will wave the students off to their buses as they leave the auditorium.
Groups staying for lunch will be dismissed to the lobby to eat lunch (your kids will also be greeted by characters on their way out the door). There are a few tables and chairs and lots of floor space to spread out to eat with your group.
Some groups of older middle/high school students will be staying in the auditorium for a brief Q & A with the cast and crew. If you are interested in this you are welcome to move down to the front of the auditorium and join this discussion.
INCLEMENT WEATHER PLAN & SHOW POSTPONEMENT
Weather-related changes will be communicated by email. You just never know here in Indiana, so we may not be able to make a call on a delayed start or postponement until early Friday morning.
If your school cancels or delays for Friday, affecting your ability to attend, please let us know by email as soon as possible.
If necessary, the postponement date would be Thursday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m.
